Detailed description

PROMATECT®-B is a nonloadbearing, fibre reinforced, medium density calcium silicate board which has been formulated without inorganic fibre. Boards are pre-treated with silicone water repellent on both faces.

Boards have one smooth surface, which is suitable for painting, and a textured surface on the reverse, which can be finished with thin coat polymeric renders.

Performance:

  • Fire: Material of limited combustibility. Class 0 performance in accordance with Building Regulations; Class 1 surface spread of flame to BS 476-7. 60 minute fire resisting external walls can be constructed using PROMATECT®-B.
  • Water vapour resistivity: To BS 7374, 112 MNs/g.
  • Basic racking resistance: 1.93 kN/m.
  • Durability: Resistant to mould growth and will not rot; resistant to rodent and insect attack.
