Platon Double Drain is an impermeable polyethylene studded sheet with a polypropylene filter fabric bonded to the top surface of the studs. Use as a membrane drainage system for external basement walls or to protect underlying waterproofing from backfill damage. The filter fabric layer ensures soil cannot enter membrane cavities to impede drainage.
Fixing to vertical surfaces:
Double Drain X-Cramp provides tear resistant mechanical fixing to the top edge of the Double Drain membrane.
Joint lap:
Side laps and end laps of 150 mm and 300 mm respectively are recommended; laps sealed with joint sealant.
Joint sealant:
Platon Sealing Rope is a blend of butyl and other rubbers; size, 10 mm diameter; colour, blue.
Top edge protection:
Platon Top Edge Mould prevents entry of soil and stones between the wall and membrane, or into the drainage layer.
