Solid flooring over 18 mm in thickness is load bearing and is suitable for use on either a concrete (if 130 mm wide or under) or a battened sub floor, and Multi-Layer boards are suitable to be laid directly onto concrete or (if over 18 mm thick) onto joists or battens. Multi-Layer boards are suitable for certain types of under floor heating (consult manufacturers guidelines prior to installation).
