The car park operator, Q-Park, turned to Berry’s System 3 Perimeter Edge Protection to complete the ultra modern style of their Portobello Road Car Park in Sheffield on the site of the old Assay office. System 3 is one of the new range of column mounted safety barriers from Berry Systems and protection is provided by 4 tensioned steel bars secured to the structural columns and supplemented by flexible interim posts at 2.5 metre centres. Anti-climb mesh is fitted between the posts which, together with the upper tensioned bar, provides an integral pedestrian handrail.
