COBA out on the tiles with premier entrance matting

Despite being a relative newcomer, COBA Europe's Premier range of smart yet durable entrance matting systems has fast become a popular choice for a wide variety of buildings subjected to high volumes of footfall, including retail, leisure and commercial locations.

Premier Track tiles, Premier Plus tiles and Premier Grip tiles make up the range, details of which are available on NBS Plus. All comprise the same base tile – 30 cm x 45 cm manufactured from extremely flexible 100% recycled PVC; product height: 15 mm (Premier Track and Premier Plus) and 13 mm high for Premier Grip.

The tiles simply connect together to cover any size or shaped area and can be either installed in footwells or laid to surface with optional bevelled edging. The flexibility of the PVC enables the tiles to be cut to shape with ease making the Premier range suitable for more unusual shaped entrance areas.

Premier Track tiles and Premier Plus tiles, for indoor or covered application areas, have a high quality carpet insert which effectively wipes moisture with dirt-scraping fibres that scrape debris from footwear. Premier Track features a superior nylon carpet insert while Premier Plus has high quality needlepunch carpet. Both products out-performed established brands with similar characteristics during independent wear tests.

For outdoor use, the Premier Grip tile system is the ideal solution. This durable PVC matting provides an initial scraper mat and again can be installed in footwells or laid to surface with bevelled edging.

One of the key features of the Premier range is its versatility. Individual tiles can be replaced or moved with ease, without the need for an entirely new system. There is normally a natural pathway that is subjected to more wear and tear so this area can just be swapped for either new or less worn tiles.

Installation and cleaning is hassle-free too. Simply lift and vacuum the well underneath or spot clean where appropriate. Premier matting is safe for use with high heels and is DDA compliant. Premier Plus tiles are available in black/charcoal and black/grey and are fire tested to EN13501 Euro Classification E(F1), while Premier Track comes in blue, brown and anthracite and is fire tested to EN 13501 Euro Classification B (F2)S2. Premier Grip is available in black or blue and fire tested to EN 13501 Euro Classification B (F1) S1.
