Introduction Bailey Roofing
Systems manufactures and supplies
first class products to the flat roofing
industry through a nationwide
network of approved stockists and
specialist installers. Bailey,
supplying quality products to the
industry since 1975, works closely
with specifiers, clients, property
managers and roofing contractors/
merchants to deliver waterproofing
solutions for individual project or
supply requirements in terms of
performance and cost.
Applications Bailey's roofing
systems are suitable for use on any
type of roof, including those of
unique design/shape, in both new
build & refurbishment applications.
Authority All products have fire
rating (to BS 476: Part 3) AC without
further protection.
DESCRIPTION
Bailey Atlantic
Bailey Atlantic is the subject of BBA
Cert. 04/4146 and is fully
sustainable, being 100% recyclable
in manufacture, installation and
years after service. It is a TPE,
thermoplastic polyethylene
membrane which, unlike PVC
membranes, contains no chlorides,
fluorides or plasticisers and
produces no carcinogenic fumes
during the welding operation.
Atlantic is a 2 mm thick durable roof
and is unaffected by UV light. Early
installations in Europe indicate that
Bailey Atlantic has a life expectancy
in excess of 40 years.
Installation is without the use of
solvents, cleaners, flame or boiler
and is safe and clean.
Bailey System 5000
Bailey System 5000 is a flame-free,
felt system, providing a bituminous
alternative to single-ply roofing. The
product is a single-layer flexible
membrane which is either
mechanically fixed or bonded to the
substrate with hot air welded joints.
System 5000 is manufactured with
an untearable, spunbond polyester
carrier coated with an SBS modified
bitumen. It has an overall thickness
of approx. 5 mm and its flexibility
enables the absorption of any
substrate movement. This results in
a cost-effective flat roof with a life
expectancy in excess of 30 years.
Installation is without the use of gas
bottle, flame or boiler and is safe
and clean.
Bailey System 17000
Bailey System 17000 is a range of
superior torch-on, waterproofing
systems for use on any type of roof,
including flat, pitched and barrel
vaulted. It is a totally secure solution
for any flat roof whether installed as
a single layer or multi-layer system
and is the subject of BBA Cert.
06/4375. System 17000 products
are manufactured with an
untearable, spunbond polyester
carrier that produces flexible and
resilient membranes. Life expectancy
is in excess of 30 years backed by
long-term guarantees. Installation is
only by Bailey recommended installers.
Bailey Commodity Systems
Bailey's Commodity range provides
quality products for projects where
the main criteria is to meet a tight
budget. They are suitable for use on
flat and sloped/pitched roofs on both
domestic and commercial projects.
The torch-applied membranes are
manufactured to a high and consistent
standard and are readily available at
competitive prices. The fully modified
bitumen used in production provides
the contractor with an easy and
secure product to install.
Available with coloured mineral and
sanded finishes, their high bond
strength and greater resistance to
breakdown results in a lasting
roofing system backed by a 12 year
guarantee.
Bailey Eco-Roof
Bailey Eco-Roof is an entirely green
system that comprises intensive,
extensive or biodiverse planting
used in conjunction with Bailey
Atlantic sustainable single-ply
waterproofing to create a roof that is
both environmentally responsible
and beneficial. Other solutions are
available from Bailey's
comprehensive range of anti-root
bituminous membranes, with either
torch-on or flame-free installation.
Bailey Eco-Roof green roof systems
offer the specifier a range of
vegetation, plants and application
methods to meet the intended use
and aesthetic demands of any project.
INFORMATION COMMON TO ALL
PRODUCTS
Accessories Whatever the
specification, all Bailey systems
include a range of innovative flat
roofing accessories to aid quicker,
safer and more efficient installation.
Installation Bailey System 17000,
System 5000 and Bailey Atlantic are
installed only by recommended
contractors, whose operatives have
been trained in the installation of
Bailey Systems. A series of site
inspections are carried out during
the course of the installation and
Bailey's technical personnel assist
and advise with detailing and laying
of the system. On completion, prior
to issue of the guarantee, a final
inspection is carried out.
ECONOMICS
Guarantees On completion of the
works and a satisfactory final roof
inspection, Bailey issues single
point, insurance-backed guarantees.
SUPPLY
All products are supplied direct from
the company.
SERVICES
Bailey carries out roof surveys and
core sampling, provides
specifications, performs wind load,
U-value and drainage calculations
and supplies details on AutoCAD.
Bailey monitors projects with on-site
visits and produces reports of all
inspections.
