Roofing System is the subject of 
BBA Cert. No. 96/3293. All products 
in the range have been tested, 
including for fire and chemical 
resistance, with relevant certificates 
issued where appropriate. Copies of 
these are available on request.
Description  The Alwitra roofing 
system has at its core three main 
single-ply waterproofing 
membranes:
Evalon

-V is a vinyl-ethylene-

terpolymer (VET), comprising 
polyvinyl-chloride (PVC) and 
ethylene-vinyl-acetate (EVA), which 
results in an extremely stable 
product, free from potentially 
harmful plasticisers.
Evalastic

-V is an EPDMpp 

synthetic rubber-based membrane 
which remains heat-weldable is free 
from halogens, chlorine and 
plasticisers. In the event of fire, 
fumes of burning product are 
non-toxic.
Self-adhesive versions of Evalon

  

and Evalastic

 are available.

-Solar is a building 

integrated product that combines in 
a single product and installation 
process the waterproofing 
membrane with thin film photovoltaic 
modules. This leads to exceptional 
waterproofing performance whilst 
exploiting the potential of the roof as 
a platform for the production of 
clean, sustainable electricity, which 
can be utilised in the building or sold 
back to the electricity supply 
company.

Authority  All products in the range 
have been tested to a variety of 
criteria with relevant certificates 
issued where appropriate. The 
system follows the guidelines 
promoted by FLL.
Green issues  Many products have 
been manufactured from recycled 
materials.
Description  The Diadem

 green 

roof system provides all possible 
green or garden roof requirements, 
whether it be for an Extensive (low 
maintenance Sedum type growth), 
Intensive (higher maintenance with 
grass, plants, shrubs or trees) or 
Brown roof (where materials are 
sourced locally and nature is left to 
take its course). 
The system comprises a variety of 
drainage/reservoir layers, chosen on 
the basis of the required plant types, 
and includes the necessary 
protection/water retention and filter 
fleeces.
If the Diadem

 system is not used 

in conjunction with Alwitra 
membranes, which are already root 
resistant, the company can provide 
a separate root barrier.

Applications  Barrial provides 
permanent fixed safety systems at 
the perimeter of flat roofs, safety 
railings around rooflights and

Description The Barrial system

-  Fixed railings: inside parapet wall, 
   outside of wall, on parapet wall    
  and on roof slab

System comprises:
Fixing shoes - a range of shoes for 
different applications;

Fixed posts - straight, curved to 1 m 
radius and angled at 15

other angles to special order); 
posts include an end cap and 
adjustable sleeves that hold rails at 
different heights; 
Folding posts;
Rails are discreet and mounted to 
face the interior of the roof and may 
be used as hand-, bottom- or 
intermediate-rails; one end forms a 
spigot that slots into the end of the 
next rail;
Skirting.
End plugs, corners (at variable 
angles) and wall fixings (at variable 
angles) are also available.
All components are manufactured 
from aluminium.
Dimensions  Height of posts and 
number of sleeves for rails are to 
suit site dimensions.
Rails have 3000 mm standard 
length; other sizes to special order.
Appearance is untreated or with 
Danilac powder coating in RAL 
colours.
Weather  System is completely 
weatherproof; aluminium is 
corrosion-resistant.
Mechanics  Barrial has been 
subjected to relevant static and 
dynamic tests in accordance with 
NF EN ISO 14122: Part 3 and  
NF EN 13374.

Warranties  A ten year warranty is 
issued as standard. Further 
information on extended warranty 
periods and insurance backed 
warranties is available from I.C.B.
