Introduction British Harlequin
manufactures the Harlequin range
of floorings for the performing arts
which is specified by leading dance
companies, theatres, studios,
schools and universities worldwide.
There is also a Contracts Division to
install the floors if the customer
requires.
Green issues Only timber from
FSC certified sources is used:
documentation regarding
provenance is available on request.
PVC floorcoverings can be fully
recycled. The Harlequin Group
recycles nearly 100% of post
manufacturing waste and buys in
further recycled PVC material. As
part of Harlequin's commitment to
product stewardship, Harlequin
products returned to its factories in
the UK and Europe at the end of
their life will be recycled.

Harlequin Allegro
TM
is an ultra-thick
cushioned floor which can be laid
onto concrete or hard surfaces to
create a semi-sprung floor to reduce
fatigue and impact injury.
Harlequin Cascade
TM
is a heavy-
duty reinforced floor, generally used
as a permanent multi-purpose
dance and stage surface.
Harlequin Fiesta
TM
oak strip
patterned floor is a hard-wearing
multi-purpose surface.
Harlequin Marine
TM
conforms to
marine standard IMO FTPC Parts 2
and 5, is suitable for installation on
marine vessels and is ideal for
scenery docks on cruise ships.
Harlequin Reversible
TM
is the
classic double-sided stage floor that
unrolls quickly and lays flat; ideal for
dance and stage use.
Harlequin Standfast
TM
is an
extremely hard-wearing flooring,
ideal as a multi-purpose dance and
stage surface for heavy-duty use.
Harlequin Studio
TM
is a
single-sided, foam-backed flooring
for protection from hard sub-floors
and reduced risk of injuries; can be
used as a roll-out floor or installed
permanently or semi-permanently.

Harlequin Activity
TM
has been
tested for impact sound reduction
according to BS EN ISO 140:
Part 8. It is a complete, permanently
installed sprung floor system,
created after consultation with
dancers, studios and dance
directors throughout the world. It
has an innovative composite fully
floating construction consisting of
semi-flexible panels bedded onto a
cellular base and surfaced with the
client's choice of Harlequin
performance surface. Welded
seams form a continuous
slip-resistant performance surface,
without hard spots and requiring
minimal maintenance. Harlequin
Activity is nominally 44 mm thick
before application of the vinyl top
surface.
Harlequin Liberty
TM
sprung floor
panels are pre-manufactured (2 m x
1 m and 1 m x 1 m) with dual
density elastomer blocks fitted for
progressively controlled spring.
Pivot joints join panels tightly and
accurately. The locking system
unique to this floor allows panels to
be loose laid for use on stages and
for touring or, alternatively, they can
be permanently laid into studios.
Edge trims, ramps and storage carts
are available as accessories.
Harlequin WoodSpring
TM
is a
permanent sprung floor system of
basket weave construction. It has a
counterbatten configuration
comprising at least three layers of
Harlequin Liberty sprung floor panels at Laban,
Deptford, London (Winner of the Stirling Prize 2003)
