Burlington Slate offers a range of English stone for external use such as landscaping and features that will not be affected by
extremes in climatic conditions around the world.
Introduction Burlington Slate Ltd is
a family owned company that
extracts and works stone from
several quarries in the English Lake
District. As each quarry provides a
different stone with its own
characteristic appearance the
company can offer the specifier a
wide choice of stones and colours.
Extraction is by use of diamond
wires with cutting by laser guided
machinery in the company's modern
workshops. Further shaping and
finishing is by local craftsmen to
meet customer and project
requirements.
Authority Burlington Slate operates
a BS EN ISO 9001 quality
assurance system.
Green issues The use of diamond
wire extraction avoids the use of
blasting, creating less damage and
intrusion on the environment.
