Fyfestone architectural masonry is a range of dense aggregate concrete facing masonry units manufactured in modern,
automated plants utilising quality assured aggregates. Products are suitable for use in structural building and civil
engineering applications and the specifier is offered a wide choice of finishes, colours, configurations and sizes.
All products are from a company certified as 'very good' under BRE BES 6001.

Introduction Fyfestone
manufactures a leading range of
facing masonry units in the UK
which is specified by architects,
consulting engineers, house
builders, self-build clients, design
and build contractors and
developers for commercial and
housing developments. Product
finishes include: polished, textured,
bullnosed, fairfaced, split, pitched,
and tumbled, all of which meet the
needs of particular markets and
projects. Colours offered are based
on the regional natural stone shades
throughout the UK and conform with
the various regional planning
requirements.
Authority Fyfestone architectural
masonry complies with either
BS EN 771-3 or BS EN 771-5.
All products are manufactured under
the quality procedures of
BS EN ISO 9001 and Environmental
Standard BS EN ISO 14001. BES
6001.

The blocks satisfy the special

response to demand for sustainable
construction products, the
EnviroMasonry range of
architectural facing masonry units
seeks to balance aesthetic demands
with a measurable environmental
footprint.
It comprises:
EnviroMasonry Fairfaced
masonry: with a fine texture finish
EnviroMasonry Split masonry: with
a split face finish
EnviroMasonry Textured
masonry: with an exposed
aggregate finish
EnviroMasonry Polished
masonry: with a high sheen finish
Composition, manufacture
The EnviroMasonry range is
manufactured from specially
selected secondary recycled
aggregates.
Replacement cement is also
incorporated to minimise
environmental impact, whilst
maintaining quality throughout.

Chemical All are suitable for use in
up to Class 3 sulphate conditions.

Elite range
Authority All Elite products are
manufactured to BS EN 771-5.
Description Elite Bullnosed
masonry units are dressed to give a
bullnosed appearance.
Elite Tumbled masonry units are
dressed to give a rugged split face
and the blocks are then "tumbled" to
produce a weathered finish.
Elite Pitched masonry units are
dressed to give a convex profile face.
Elite Split masonry units are
dressed to give a rugged
appearance.
Composition, manufacture
All Elite products are manufactured
with high quality aggregates,
ordinary Portland cement and
synthetic iron oxide pigments. The
hydraulically wet-pressed
manufacturing process guarantees
a high quality product of low porosity
and low shrinkage allied to high
density and strength.
Density All products are
>2280 kg/m³ at 3% m/c.

Premier range
Authority All Premier products are
manufactured to BS EN 771-3.
Description
Premier Polished masonry units
are polished utilising high quality
diamond abrasives.
Premier Textured masonry units
have been subjected to surface
treatment to produce a lightly
exposed aggregate surface.
Premier Fairfaced masonry units
have a close surface texture.
Composition, manufacture
All Premier products utilise high
quality aggregates, white or grey
cement, synthetic iron oxide
pigments and integral waterproofers.
The semi-dry manufacturing process
gives a high quality product of low
porosity and low shrinkage allied to
high density and strength.
Density All products are >1955 kg/
m³ at 3% m/c.
Appearance There are seven
standard colours in the Premier
range.
