Charcon offers a comprehensive range of surface water drainage systems for use with roads and hardstanding areas and a
choice of Sustainable Drainage Systems to help prevent flooding and control run-off water. Surface water drainage can be
integrated with SUDS to give a total solution.

Surfacing
Description The Charcon Infilta
range has been enhanced to include
StoneMaster, EcoPave, Woburn,
Parliament and Andover, as well as
the original Infilta block for a wide
ranging choice.
Sustainable Drainage Systems
(SUDS)
Description Charcon SUDS enable
water drained from hardstanding to
be stored prior to run-off when
required or as part of a water
harvesting scheme. The systems
can also be part of road drainage
schemes. They comprise
two complementary parts.
(1) Surfacing - there are four options:
Block paving - either the Charcon
Infilta permeable blocks or, Charcon
impermeable block paving may be
used.
Charcon Grassgrid - a high
strength, interlocking cavity grid
system that provides hardstanding
with a natural appearance.
Asphalt - conventional impermeable
asphalt materials or, for pervious
surfacing, Bardon Drainasphalt in
single or twin course layers may be
used.
Concrete - Bardon Draincrete
incorporates an evenly-voided
structure with many sizes of
aggregate.
(2) Sub-base water storage - there
are two options:
Charcon Permavoid
TM
is a highly
voided (92%) structure that forms a
structural raft below the surface yet
provides a high level of water storage.
Manufacture is from recycled plastic.
An open granular sub-base provides
a more traditional approach.
Accessories Charcon

TM
may be used to convey
rainwater into the
Permavoid system
through surface drainage
systems. Charcon
Permaceptor
TM
is an
integral petrol/oil
interceptor that eliminates
the need for separate
interceptor systems.
