Grime-Stopper and Grime-Grabber both combine excellent aesthetic qualities with very effective shoe cleaning properties.
Both designs comprise strips of carpeting between aluminium interspacer bars. Grime-Stopper has carpeting of ribbed
polypropylene while Grime-Grabber has strips of rubber backed polypropylene brush carpet. Both are offered in a range of
colours and bespoke corporate logos. Logos can be inlaid into Grime-Grabber.

Introduction Grime-Stopper and
Grime-Grabber are two designs of
entrance matting which both provide
an excellent means of preventing
shoe-borne dirt from advancing
beyond the entrance of buildings.
Both designs consist of strips of
synthetic material for brushing dirt
off shoes, alternating with rigid
aluminium spacer bars which scrape
off the more resistant dirt.
Grime-Stopper and Grime-Grabber
both reduce cleaning costs within
the building and prolong the life of
internal floorcoverings. The
attractive colours in which the strips
of synthetic material are available
can contribute a valuable element to
the décor of entrance halls.
Applications Grime-Stopper and
Grime-Grabber are intended for
use wherever a large volume of foot
traffic enters a building. Typical
applications are in shops, public
buildings, banks, hotels, restaurants,
entertainment and leisure buildings,
schools and colleges, public houses
and hospitals.
DESCRIPTION
Grime-Stopper Strips of Jaymart's
well tested Polyrib polypropylene
clean zone carpeting are secured
between ridged silver extruded
aluminium interspacer sections.
Grime-Grabber Coloured strips of
In-Genius rubber backed
polypropylene barrier carpet are
similarly secured between the same
design of interspacer bar as used
with Grime-Stopper.
Accessories Jaymart can also
supply matwell frames of two basic
types: Alu-Ramp ridged aluminium
bevelled surround for free-standing
mats where no matwell is to be used
and Wellmaid, purpose-made
matwell frames in a choice of
aluminium or brass angle sections.
Dimensions
Both designs can be
tailor-manufactured to virtually any
size or shape. For reasons of
weight, however, larger mats are
normally supplied in sections not
exceeding 2 m

approximately 16 mm thick.
Appearance
Grime-Stopper The polypropylene
strips may be in the following
colours: anthracite, brown/white,
red, steel blue, lever, forest,
blue/grey, turquoise, silver grey,
royal blue, forest green, plain
burgundy, safari and jeans blue.
Colours may be combined as
wished. The aluminium strips have
an untreated mill finish.
Grime-Grabber The strips are
offered in the following colours: tan,
black, blue, red, green, grey, slate,
brown and yellow.
The aluminium strips have an
untreated mill finish. Promotional
logos and lettering can also be
inlaid: inlaid logos have the
advantage of lasting far longer than
conventionally printed mats.
Grime-Grabber is also UV-resistant.

(c) Closed drainable - for external or
excessively wet areas, where
closed construction is preferred
Dimensions Street-King entrance
matting can be tailor-made to
virtually any size or shape. For
reasons of weight and ease of
handling, matting for larger areas is
normally supplied in sections not
exceeding 2 m

. Such sections are
then simply and neatly butted
end-to-end and/or side-to-side to
give the overall area required.
Accessories Wellmaid matwell

MAINTENANCE
Daily cleaning by vacuum cleaner is
recommended, together with
occasional complete removal of the
matting for thorough cleaning,
particularly in the case of open
construction mats, where the
matwells will require regular removal
of any build-up of grit, dirt, rain etc.
All strips should be removed and
replaced when worn or if a new
colour is required to blend with a
revised design scheme.

DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
Matting must always be laid with the
direction of the strips at right angles
to the principal flow of traffic. Both
designs of matting are difficult to cut
on-site so accurate dimensions
must be supplied for made to
measure mats, indicating whether
dimensions are actual mat size, or
overall matwell frame size.
