Introduction The Buffer-Zone
range of high quality entrance
matting has been developed by
Jaymart as a method of preventative
maintenance for high traffic areas.
Buffer-Zone matting is composed
of a combination of alternating
aluminium scraper sections, for
strength and durability and
channelled replaceable strips, to
remove dirt and moisture from the
entrance. The range is available in
closed, heel-safe construction only.
Designed for both external and
internal use, the Buffer-Zone range
is suitable for heavy-duty
environments such as airports,
railway stations, bus stations,
supermarkets, high street stores
and department stores.
DescrIptIon
composition, manufacture
Silver ribbed aluminium scraper
sections combined with either Track
King-Super Twist polyamide
velours barrier carpeting or
Contract-King heavy-duty,
fibre-bonded polypropylene inserts
or rubber strips.
Two types of rubber strip are
available: fine-ribbed and extra
heavy-duty speckled.
Dimensions
Buffer-Zone entrance matting can
be tailor-made to virtually any size
or shape. For reasons of weight and
ease of handling, matting for larger
areas is normally supplied in
sections not exceeding 2 m
2
. Such
sections are then simply and neatly
butted end-to-end and/or
side-to-side to give the overall area
required.

BZ4 - Track King - Super Twist
polyamide velours barrier carpeting
strips are available in black, dark
blue, grey, bright red, turquoise
green and charcoal.
BZ11 - Contract-King inserts are
available in grey, black, anthracite,
brown, beige, red, olive, green,
emerald green, royal blue or purple.
BZ14 - Blade-Runner strips
available in black/blue, black/red,
black/grey, black/green, black/black,
black/purple, black/yellow,
black/blue/grey, black/blue/green,
black/green/grey, black/red/grey.
BZ15 - Incorporates fine fluted
Buffer-Zone range of entrance matting
rubber strips in black only.
Accessories
Wellmaid Matwell frames are also
tailor-made to virtually any size or
shape in a choice of aluminium or
brass angle sections.
Also available are Bevalu (20 mm
deep) and Safe-T-Edge (16 mm
deep) surface-mounted aluminium
matwell frames with anti-trip
bevelled edges.
MAINTENANCE
Daily cleaning by vacuum cleaner is
recommended, together with
occasional complete removal of the
matting for thorough cleaning,
where the matwells will require
removal of any build-up of grit, dirt,
rain etc. All strips should be
removed and replaced when worn
or if new colour is required to blend
with a revised design scheme.

DesIGn consIDerAtIons
Matting must always be laid with the
direction of the strips at right angles
to the principal flow of traffic. All
designs of matting are difficult to cut
on-site so accurate dimensions
must be supplied for made to
measure mats, indicating whether
dimensions are actual mat size, or
overall matwell frame size.
Positions of doorways should be
marked on drawings or templates
supplied for manufacturing or
quotation purposes.

building offers appreciable savings
on cleaning and maintenance costs.
Alligator is designed for heavy-duty
use in the most rigorous of
applications. Special designs and
logos can be incorporated.
Applications Alligator matting has
been designed for heavy-duty use,
principally for indoor entrance and
foyer areas in shops, public
buildings, schools, offices, hotels,
leisure centres and factories.
DescrIptIon
The matting consists of strips of
barrier carpeting in a range of
colours, retained between extruded
aluminium bars. The bars are ridged
for improved cleaning action and are
joined together underneath using
heavy-duty clips to give the matting
a solid and rigid construction.
The matting is normally of closed
construction although 3 mm open
cavity construction is also available.
Accessories Jaymart also supplies
Wellmaid purpose-made matwell
frames in a wide choice of brass or
aluminium angle sections. Bevelled
aluminium surface-mounted matting
surrounds are also available.
