for new and refurbishment
medium-rise applications and higher
stairwells whether internally or
externally glazed.
Description A cost-effective
alternative to curtain walling,
Comar 2 is a fully thermally broken
system. It comprises system profiles
and components with variable
corner angles. 90
o
and 135
o
returns
are enabled and sill sections provide
drainage to the exterior.
It offers the facility for expansion
and is suitable for a number of
glazing options of thickness ranging
from 4 - 71 mm.
Centre-hung doors with hanging
stile fingerguards are available.
Composition, manufacture
Box sections are formed from 2-part
channels and plate mullions to form
modular sash construction.
Internal glazing uses 15 mm high
beading; external glazing, used
where floor beams and partitions
prohibit internal glazing, utilises a
45
o
, 15 mm high bead.

Comar 6 curtain walling system
Comar 6 is available either for
ladder frame or stick build
construction.
Applications When used for ladder
build, Comar 6 is suitable for
medium-rise, new build or
refurbishment projects. When used
with stick build it may be used for
projects rising to any level and for
inclined façades and roof glazing.
Description Corner mullions adjust
to give returns of 90
o
- 135
o
.
A selection of face caps, including a
transom cover cap with integral drip
that prevents water staining, give
façade options. An internal
pressure-equalised system ensures
drainage is to the exterior.
The framework is insulated by a
thermal barrier in the pressure plate
glazing. It allows for vision panels,
glass pressings, spandrel panels
and opening vents to be glazed-in
without cutting.
Construction is either in frame
format with elements joined by
stainless steel screws driven into
integral screw receptacles or
on-site.
Glazing is vision glass or spandrel
panels set dry against EPDM rubber
gaskets in drained and ventilated
rebates. This is 6 - 37 mm thick for
ladder frame and 3 - 50 mm thick for
stick build.
