distribution of a wide range of 
carpets. 
Authority  Rawson Carpets is a  
BSI Registered firm Cert. No.  
FM 13245 and is a member of the 
Contract Flooring Association 
(CFA). 
Green issues  The company seeks 
to minimise its impact on the 
environment and, based on its long 
experience in textile recycling, has 
developed a sustainable approach 
to its manufacturing. It recycles or 
reuses the small amount of waste 
produced and its end-products are 
long lasting thus helping to reduce 
wastage, pollution and landfill. 

Applications  Carpeting is used in 
educational, commercial and office 
facilities.
Description  Carpets in both sheet 
and tile formats are offered in a 
choice of ranges. All are easy to 
install on a variety of floor substrates. 
They are comfortable underfoot and 
offer superior thermal and acoustic 
properties resulting in the virtual 
elimination of noise from footsteps, 
echoes and resonance.

Description  Heavy contract barrier 
matting offers an effective cleaning 
of dirt and debris which may 
otherwise be brought into a building 
on the feet of pedestrian traffic.

Description and applications  
Classmate is a decorative wall 
covering with exceptional noise 
reducing properties, designed for 
use in busy classrooms and 
educational facilities. It also acts as 
a thermal insulator. Easy to install 
Classmate is of non-woven high 
density polyester and provides a 
useful display board which will 
accept hook/loop fasteners or 
drawing pins.
Dimensions  
Sheet: 1.22 m in 25 m rolls
Tiles: 600 x 600 mm
Fire  Classmate meets the 
requirements of BS 476: Part 7 
(Class 1Y).
Sound  Classmate attains 
BS EN ISO 354 sound absorption 
class E, reduces general reverberated 
noise by up to 40% and has a noise 
reduction coefficient of 0.25.

Cleaning comprises regular 
vacuuming and removal of top 
surface deposits. Any deep cleaning 
should be carried out by 
professionals.

Guarantees  All Rawson products 
are guaranteed against 

manufacturing defects throughout 
the life of the products.

All products are supplied solely via 
distributors, contractors and certain 
retailers. 
Services to specifiers include:
-  Colour matching of a small sample  
  by special computer programmes  
  which allow the scanning of  

 

  colour, texture and weight of  

 

  almost any product. Fibre ranges  
  are synthesised and combined    
  with all components to form a  

 

  matching blend. 
-  Customised or bespoke carpets   
  which can include a replica of  

 

  company logos, religious symbols  
  or similar. Replicas can be cut out  
  & inserted using cutting machinery,  
  programmes and scanners.

Information on other products, 
including non-woven needle punch 
products in panel format for acoustic 
control and sound deadening, is
