the industry, Wade is established as
a leading manufacturer of quality
drainage products made
predominantly of metal - cast iron,
nickel bronze, mild or stainless
steel. Wade products are specified
worldwide for use in, on and near all
kinds of buildings such as hospitals,

Floor gullies
Applications and Description
Trapped and non-trapped versions
are available with bodies of cast iron,
stainless steel, gunmetal or plastic
for connection to all kinds and sizes
of pipework in general use.
A wide selection of styles and sizes
of gratings and access covers,
manufactured of nickel bronze with
satin finish, sherardized ductile iron
or stainless steel is available for use
in pedestrian areas, with certain
models suited for light vehicular traffic.
Vari-Level gratings and access covers
are height-adjustable with a fine
thread to enable accurate installation
at finished floor level; direct
connection versions are available to
enable direct connection to pipework.
Gullies are available to suit various
floors and floor finishes including
ceramic tiles, marble, resin, asphalt,
sheet floorcovering such as vinyl,
and metal decks such as on oil rigs.
Custom-made products can be
designed and manufactured to suit
particular applications.
Roof outlets
Applications and Description
Versions are readily available to suit
cold roof, warm roof, inverted roof,
no-fines screed, parapet and
balcony. Most roof outlets have a
cast iron body, and are available
with dome or flat grating which, for
maintenance purposes, is
removable without disturbing
waterproofing.
Versions are also available for use
with asphalt, single-ply membrane
or with an insulation jacket which
prevents condensation forming on
the underside of a body. Flow rates
for given heads of water have been
determined by full-scale tests.
Linear drainage
Applications and Description
Suitable for pedestrian and light
traffic areas, gratings of different
styles and sizes, in stainless steel,
nickel bronze, polished bronze and
non-ferrous metals are available for
use in standard or purpose-made
stainless steel channels or frames.
Laserline custom made stainless steel
gratings are available with laser-cut
apertures to clients' own design.
Streamline, Mesh and Bar stainless
steel gratings are manufactured to a
high specification in a range of
widths and load rating classes.
Hidden channel is suited for draining
large areas finished with block paving.
Moduline and Jubilee are modular
linear drainage systems.
Also available are tree grilles,
supaslot and channel and grating
for firefighting lifts.
Most channel types can be
manufactured with dual level
drainage, providing secondary
drainage at membrane level if
required.
Certain channel profiles and
perforated gratings can be
manufactured in curved sections
where required.
Grease converters
Description Unlike conventional
grease traps and interceptors,
grease converters provide a modern,
effective and simple to use means of
permanently converting grease to
water-soluble, environmentally
friendly products.
Grease is degraded by a
microbiological culture which is
maintained in the converter through
regular dosing with Wade
Actimatic, in powder or liquid form.
Wade Actimatic grease converters
are available in standard sizes and can
be installed in existing or new kitchens.
Water points
Applications and Description
The Wade non-freeze water point
provides an external water source
for plant watering, area cleaning,
vehicle wash down and similar
activities. Made to suit a given wall
thickness, the product is installed
with valve assembly inside a
building but with on/off control and
hose connections outside; when the
valve is shut, remaining water drains
out so the unit cannot freeze.
The unit can be supplied with a wall
box with optional locking cover to
deter unauthorised access.
The Wade non-freeze water point is
made of gunmetal and copper; wall
boxes are made of aluminium,
nickel bronze, gunmetal or stainless
steel.
