NorDan doorsets featured here are from the NTech 0.7 and 1.2 ranges of timber and aluminium clad timber doors which offer 
inward, outward opening and sliding doorsets. 
Introduction  NorDan has been 
combining traditional Norwegian 
craftsmanship with modern 
technology for over 40 years. 
NTech 0.7 Balcony doorset 
(outward opening, single)
Description  The NTech 0.7 
doorset offers a sustainable, 
energy-saving design and there is a 
wide choice of design specifications. 
Doorsets are supplied complete and 
operational with an exterior frame 
and pre-hung door leaf. Handles 
and cylinder sets are supplied loose; 
all other ironmongery is pre-fitted. 
Four pairs of heavy-duty hinges are 
incorporated.
Espagnolette locking has three 
tightening points, one throw bolt and 
one sprung latch. 
Specific options comprise:
-  Anti-bump security cylinders and  
 thumbturns
- Kick-plates
Composition, manufacture  
A layer of insulation is laminated 
into the 105 mm deep frame for the 
head and jambs. The 80 mm door 
leaf has insulation laminated all 
round. Timber is double vacuum 
impregnated.
Triple-glazed units are fitted as 
standard, with other glazing options 
available.

NTech 1.2 Sliding patio doorsets 
(single and double)
Description  A typical sliding 
doorset comprises opening and 
fixed leaves of equal size with
a meeting rail centrally positioned. 
However, NorDan can provide doors 
with unequal leaves and double 
sliding doors without a central 
mullion. A secondary locking device 
on the fixed mullion provides:
-  Increased resistance against      
  forced entry
-  Additional tightening where the 
  fixed and sliding doors meet to    
  avoid weather penetration
-  Resistance to timber movement
Specific options comprise:
-  Locking handles
-  Trickle vents
-  Anti-bump security locking

Double-glazed units are fitted as 
standard, with other glazing options 
available.
The sliding door has sealed roller 
bearings which glide smoothly on a 
hardened aluminium alloy track and 
are fitted with alloy anti-lift discs 
located in the frame head. These 
prevent intruders from lifting the 
sliding door off its track.

NTech 1.2 Balcony doorsets

Description  There is a wide variety 
of design specifications. Doorsets 
are supplied complete and 
operational with an exterior frame 
and pre-hung door leaf. Handles 
and cylinder sets are supplied loose; 
all other ironmongery is fitted. 
Three heavy duty hinges are fitted 
with an additional hinge providing 
extra stability for larger and heavier 
units and specific requirements.
The door is opened by means of a 
single handle operating an 
espagnolette with three tightening
points, one throw bolt and one 
sprung latch. 
Specific options comprise:
-  Wind brake friction stay on  
   
  outward opening primary door     
  only, which are profiled to enable  
  retrospective fitting
-  Anti-bump security locking  
   
  cylinders and thumbturns
- Letterplates
- Spyholes
- Kick-plates
Composition, manufacture  The 
92 mm deep frame is constructed 
from engineered timber. The timber 
for both frame and door is double 
vacuum impregnated. 
Double-glazed units are fitted as 
standard, with other glazing options 
available.

Authority  NTech doorsets are  
CE marked for EN 14351-1 + A1. 
Timber is sourced from PEFC 
certified sources. Manufacture is 
quality assured to ISO 9001.
Description  Doors may be used as 
fire escapes and may have optional 
aluminium cladding that increases 
the life-span of the glazing and 
reduces maintenance costs.
Standard panels are of laminate 
composite board; optionally, pine 
veneer panels may be used where a 
stained finish is specified.
Where fitted, double-glazed units 
comprise 4 mm low emissivity 
toughened glass/16 mm argon filled 
cavity/ES 6.38 mm laminated safety 
glass and triple-glazed units 
comprise 4 mm toughened low
emissivity glass/16 mm argon filled 
cavity/4 mm low emissivity glass/ 
16 mm argon filled cavity/ 
ES 6.38 mm laminated glass.  
Both incorporate warm edge 
technology in the spacer bars.
All NTech doorsets have as options:
-  Transoms and mullions
-  Side lights and fan lights

limitations depend on the weight of 
the glazing: further information is

Appearance  
Doorsets, optionally, 
and cladding can be powder-coated 
from any colour in the classic RAL 
range.
