Daikin Airconditioning UK Ltd

If your clients are looking for a highly efficient heating system then Daikin’s range of industry-leading heating products could provide the ideal solution. Whether your client is looking to reduce running costs, lower carbon emissions, meet Building Regulations or the Code for Sustainable Homes, or achieve a higher BREEAM rating, a Daikin Altherma air-water heat pump can help to provide the answer.

There is a Daikin Altherma renewable energy solution for almost every application, from residential to schools, leisure, hotels or retail, whether private or public sector, new-build or refurbishment. So why not take a look to see how the Daikin Altherma range can meet your client’s needs?

Private domestic

Tough economic conditions mean that private developers are looking to find ways to set their properties apart and a renewable heating solution, with a cooling option, for high-end applications, could be the answer. The Daikin Altherma low temperature split heat pump provides COP over 41 with the potential to reduce energy bills and help reduce carbon emissions. Available in several capacities and with a stylish integrated unit option, this low temperature system is ideal for use with underfloor heating or in conjunction with Daikin’s solar thermal hot water system. For refurbishment projects or in older, hard to heat heritage properties, Daikin Altherma high temperature split system provides an alternative, highly energy efficient solution with flow temperatures of up to 80°C, making it ideal to work with existing radiator systems to provide COP over 2.82.

Social housing

For social housing or smaller private properties, the Daikin Altherma monobloc system can provide the answer. Although this air-water heat pump provides the same levels of energy efficiency as the Daikin Altherma split system, it is ideal for properties where space is at a premium - as no indoor unit is required. Available in output capacities from 6kW the Daikin Altherma monobloc can also integrate seamlessly with the Daikin solar thermal system for additional hot water support.

Multi-occupancy and commercial buildings

Daikin has developed a high output air-water heat pump suitable for use in both commercial buildings and larger scale domestic dwellings. The world first Daikin Altherma Flex Type air-to-water heat pump uses innovative heat pump technology and can be used in a range of diverse commercial buildings such as university accommodation, schools, hotels, leisure environments and businesses, as well as apartment buildings and high density housing.

A high temperature system - with heating flow temperatures up to 80ºC – the Daikin Altherma Flex Type is ideal for refurbishment projects with existing radiator systems or new build applications. Hot water temperatures of up to 75°C for bathrooms and kitchens are also possible without the need for supplementary or back-up heaters.

This system has huge benefits over traditional combined heat and power solutions as it is modular. One inverter controlled outdoor heat pump unit can be connected to several indoor units, with the indoor units configured in either a centralised or de-centralised arrangement. This offers complete flexibility to integrate air-water heat pump technology on a much greater scale than is typically feasible using an individual heat pump system.

Whatever the project, a Daikin Altherma renewable heating solution can provide a highly energy efficient heating solution.
