FireFace was developed by Sealmaster for English Heritage following a review of fire safety in historic buildings in the wake of the Windsor Castle blaze. FireFace is a non-invasive and reversible solution to the problem of upgrading existing panelled doors in listed historic buildings to 30 minutes fire resistance. FireFace is specified by English heritage, Historic Scotland and other leading conservation authorities. House & Garden magazine described FireFace as a "Brilliant British Brainwave". In 1999 the Design Council selected FireFace as a Millennium Product
