Galloway Acoustics

Galloway Acoustics is a division of the Galloway Group, servicing the acoustics market for noise control products throughout the construction industry. In August 2001 the company, in conjunction with Salford University, completed the UKAS accredited silencer test rig, fully compliant with the requirements of BS 4718 1971 and ISO 7235 1996 and then used this rig to test their range of silencers. A second programme of testing was completed in April 2002, involving testing sound reduction indices to BS EN ISO 1410-3 1995 of acoustic louvres and a range of acoustic panels. An important point to note is that UKAS accreditation can only be achieved via an independent test laboratory and gives an additional level of credibility to the data being obtained at the end of the test programme along with an ability to accurately compare similarly tested products. Coupled with this all products that are designed and supplied by Galloway Acoustics are covered by our professional Indemnity Insurance. In addition to this a comprehensive silencer selection programme has been designed and is available on CD-ROM for use by acoustic designers in the selection of in-duct rectangular and cylindrical silencers.
