Wingrip is a fall protection system for workers accessing the outside of most fixed-wing aircraft. Single and Multispan overhead systems provide permanent, cable-based fall arrest within hangars. Wingrip is a vacuum based system that can be fixed to wings, fuselage or stabilisers and is offered with multiple-user cable-based or single-user anchor options. Generally used for fall restraint, the system is tested and rated for fall arrest. Workers wear a full body harness attached to the system via a safety lanyard and work positioning rope, enabling safe, hands-free access. Overhead systems include a constant force energy absorber, overhead mobile anchorage, intermediate brackets and line tensioning device; self-retracting lifelines may be used.
