New Freedor swings into action...

Freedor is the world’s first wireless, electrically powered free-swing door closer that allows the door to swing freely and be left in any position, but will close the door when the fire alarm sounds. Installed at the top of the door, Freedor is a simple, neat and unobtrusive hold open device that improves access in buildings and allows flexibility in the use of more fluid layouts. Freedor is easy to install in new buildings and retrofit.

Freedor needs to detect a fire alarm sounder that exceeds 65 dBA, verifying the alarm over a 14 second period. It then releases the door allowing it to close, preventing the spread of fire and smoke around the building.

• Adjustable closing speed
• Operates up to power size 4 (80kg fire door)
• Allows the door to be set at any angle up to 90 degrees and operate normally until activated
• Suitable for right and left hand swing doors
• Can be installed on the opening or closing side of the door
