An Introduction to Suspended Ceiling Systems

This seminar looks at suspended ceiling systems. Tiles can be produced from a wide range of materials including mineral wool, glass wool, gypsum, cast plaster and metal. The choice of core material will influence the performance of the finished ceiling. It takes in suspended ceiling systems, generic, exposed, concealed, semi-concealed and ceiling infill panels and discusses acoustics, sound absorption and sound insulation. Also examined are the European Standards for suspended ceilings, CE marking, fire, material classification and structural protection.
