This £400m mixed use development included multiple pedestrian walkways and landscape features above the car parking areas. The waterproofing solution had to accommodate numerous movement joints in the concrete deck and up-stands, along with heavy vehicular traffic during the construction period and subsequent footfall from pedestrians. The RIW Technical Advisor recommended RIW Cementseal as the primary waterproofing solution, chosen for its excellent ability to adhere to a prepared concrete substrate. Cementseal can also be applied to a damp surface and has a quick drying time, allowing the construction programme to remain on schedule.
