Piccolo stairways are for domestic use being attractive and very durable. They are manufactured from extruded aluminium alloy. A choice of versions with or without counter-balance springs is offered. The Piccolo S has counter-balance springs which hold the stairway in the folded position without additional support. The Piccolo stairway without counter-balance springs is supplied with a pair of hooks that are positioned at the opposite end of the opening to the hinge in order to store the stairway when not in use. Both models require a clear aperture width of 380 mm inside the hatch. Three models of each type are offered for maximum ceiling heights of, for Piccolo S: 2400 mm, 2650 mm and 2900 mm and, for non counter-balanced: 2500 mm, 2750 mm and 3000 mm.
