Timber decking using Wallbarn TD adjustable height support pads - Oakwood Developments, London, June 2010
Case Study
A large terrace and walkway area on an existing building was fitted out with timber decking using Wallbarn TD supports.
The insulated, waterproofed deck was built to a fall to allow drainage, then adjustable supports were laid down (but not bonded to the deck) at maximum 600mm apart.
Supports were adjusted in height to arrest the fall of the roof. Spirit levels were used to ensure the timber joists were completely flat.
Cross battens were fixed to the joists creating a sturdy, weight bearing framework.
Decking was then fixed to the joists, creating a usable space and natural finish.
