The Trench-Guard system from GreenTek sets new standards in trench cover safety. It is designed for providing a safe means for pedestrians and light vehicles to bridge over utilities trenches up to 600mm wide. The fibreglass or plywood boards traditionally used in this industry have no means of being joined together, thus running the risk of them moving apart and leaving a dangerous hole that a vehicle or pedestrian might slip down. By contrast, the new Trench-Guard panels have interlocking flanges that connect them firmly together to prevent this happening. Trench-Guards are made from an ultra tough plastic which does not become splintered and sharp on the edges and unlike metal road plates, they are light enough to be installed by hand.
