WALLTITE Spray Foam Insulation: Guidance for U-values and air permeability
Technical data sheet
Spray applied polyurethane foam achieves maximum U-values for minimum depth of insulation and completely seals against unwanted air leakage. Building Regulations for 2010 aim to improve the CO² emissions of dwellings by a further 25% below 2006 levels (CSH level 3). These targets also involve doubling the number of homes tested for air tightness and reducing the design value. Timber frame and masonry cavity wall constructions insulated with polyurethane foam applied to the roof and walls have achieved air permeability results of 3m³/(hr.m²)@50Pa.
