Wöhr Combilift system increases parking provision from 6 to 22 spaces
January 2012
Wöhr has provided an innovative parking solution for a new residential development at Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire, providing 22 spaces in an area that with traditional parking would have allowed only 6.

The new development by Constable Homes provides 23 one and two bedroom apartments, each finished to an exceptionally high standard. With a requirement to maximise the available on-site parking, Wöhr provided two Combilift systems, with a row of drive-through
Combilift 552 units situated directly in front of a row of Combilift 551s.
Each Combilift system has six modular grids and two levels, providing 11 independently-accessed parking spaces, each with an upgraded weight capacity of 2.6 tonnes.
This configuration allows vehicles to drive through the empty space in the 552 system to access the standard 551 system positioned directly behind it, when required. The movement of all parking platforms is controlled by computer when a user inserts his/her
own bespoke key.

Wöhr Parking Systems design and supply a wide range of car stacking and car lift systems for both residential and commercial applications.
The company’s Combilift semi automatic systems utilise a combination of vertically stacking and laterally sliding technology to provide two, three or four levels of parking, with or without the need for pits to be excavated. Based on a modular grid system,
each Combilift has a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 grids, always with one empty space on the entrance level to allow movement of the parking pallets.

Providing independent parking for all vehicles, Combilift systems require much less headroom/pit depth than equivalent vertical stacking systems. Each system is available in a number of width and weight options to suit different vehicle types and parking
arrangements.
