Surface finish:



The pressure at the valve inlets must be within the 5:1 ratio under flow conditions. The size and layout of pipework and anti-scald fittings must take this into consideration. Optimum performance is achieved with equal pressure.

  • Working pressure (minimum-maximum): 0.1–5 bar.
  • Static pressure 10 bar (maximum).
  • Flow rate 5 L/ min (minimum).

Temperature (model-dependent):

  • Hot supply: 52–65°C.
  • Cold supply: 25°C (maximum).
  • Mixed water temperature: 46°C (maximum).

Water regulations:

  • Mixing valves must be installed in accordance with local Water Authority Water Regulations (Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999).
  • The product is fitted with a WRAS-approved listed single-check valve cartridge for both the hot and cold supplies to the valve. If supplying a submerged outlet, additional protection will be required.
  • Isolating valves must be installed on the hot and cold connectors.
  • Strainers must be installed on the hot and cold inlet connections as provided.

Water connections (15 and 22 mm):

- PEG402:

  • Compression all ends.
  • Wafer strainers.
  • Single non-return valves on inlets.

- PEG402UA and PEG402UAX:

  • Compression all ends.
  • 90º angle valves.
  • Single non-return valves.
  • Mesh strainer.
  • Test point plugs.
  • Isolating valves.
  • UAX includes additional ‘cold’ outlet.

Adjustment and commissioning:

The thermostatic controller is supplied factory pre-set at 43°C. However, installation conditions will dictate that the product can be adjusted on site.
