Structural, thermal break plates for joints in steel construction which meet at a moment connection. Can be used in both point and linear structural connections. Used to provide thermal breaks by inserting the plate between elements with higher thermal conductivities.

Composite resin glass fibre reinforced plastic (GFRP). Optimized elastic modulus in compression for structural applications.

  • Fire resistance oxygen index (to BS EN ISO 4589-2: 1999): 26.2%.
  • Fire resistance (to BS 476 Part 12: 1991): Flame Unmarked Ignition Source B.
  • Water absorption (to BS EN ISO 62): 0.289% of dry weight.
  • Operating temperature range: -29°C to 121°C (-20°F to 250 °F).
