Architectural louvre system, suitable for installation into any structural or glazed opening within a building or as a free-standing structure to a roof plant area or similar.

Features and benefits:

  • Manufactured to Solinear custom-brand geometric design profiles.
  • Features a solid 'Z' section (single bank louvres) or inverted-V section (double bank louvres).
  • Louvre blades are fitted back to ‘hidden’ vertical support mullions to provide a continuous, unbroken appearance. Alternatively, the system can be supplied with recess flashing sections to provide vertical ‘feature’ breaks along the perimeter length of the louvre screen.
  • Available in kit form (aluminium only) or factory-assembled modules.
  • Doorsets (specified separately) are available for use in high/ low voltage power stations, boiler rooms, and rooms that require a constant air flow for ventilation or combustion purposes, whilst providing weather protection to enclosed spaces; consult manufacturer for details.

- AQ50:

  • Can be incorporated into curtain walling or window systems, cladding openings or as a larger roof louvre or ventilation screening system to the building.
  • Optimizes airflow performance of the louvre system/ panel due to the free area percentage provided up to 50.05% through dynamic louvre pitch adjustment.
  • Suitable for use where small to medium volumes of inlet or extract air are required to flow at moderate pressure losses with high rain defence requirements.

- AQ75:

  • Can be incorporated into curtain walling or window systems.
  • Optimizes airflow performance of the louvre system/panel due to the large free area percentage provided at 53.15%.
  • Suitable for use where relatively large volumes of inlet or extract air are required to flow at moderate pressure losses with moderate to high rain defence requirements.

- AQ100:

  • Can be incorporated into curtain walling or window systems, cladding openings or as a larger roof louvre or ventilation screening system to the building.
  • Optimizes airflow performance of the louvre system/ panel due to the large free area percentage provided at 58.70%.
  • Suitable for use where large volumes of inlet or extract air are required to flow at low pressure losses with minimum rain defence requirements.

- AQ3520:

  • Optimizes airflow performance of the louvre system/ panel due to the free area percentage provided at 42.42%.
  • Can be adapted to offer increased louvre blade vertical pitch spacings to achieve free area values in excess of 50%.
  • Suitable for use where small to medium volumes of inlet or extract air are required to flow at moderate pressure losses with high rain defence requirements.

- AQ50-CH2:

  • Optimizes airflow and extreme weather performance of the louvre system/ panel due to the free area percentage provided at 43.40% and optimized blade profile to achieve Class A weather performance up to 1.5 m/s.
  • Can be adapted to offer increased louvre blade vertical pitch spacings to achieve free area values in excess of 50%.
  • Suitable for use where air flow is required to flow at moderate pressure losses with enhanced weather performance to minimize rain ingress during inclement weather conditions.

Fixings:

Louvres are not normally supplied with any fixings, fixing brackets, weather sealants or packing shims.

Options

Design:

Louvre panels can be made as factory assembled items up to 3000 mm wide x 1800 mm high. Wider louvres may be possible subject to design and manufacturing process review. For larger louvre panel requirements, the system can be modularized to accommodate most geometric shapes and structural opening sizes.

Shape:

Can be fabricated in any geometric opening shape and size from rectangular apertures to triangular/ circular or any other irregular shape; consult manufacturer for details.

Configuration:

- Double bank 'chevron':

Improved rain defence properties over the single bank variant, recommended if the building’s weather tightness is critical.

Material:

  • Aluminium system can be supplied in factory-assembled or as a kit to assemble on-site.
  • Steel, plastisol and stainless steel systems are supplied as factory-assembled, modular panels.

Solinear offers a design service to provide bespoke engineered solution to latest ISO/ BS standards and codes of practise; consult manufacturer for details.

Accessories:

A range of mesh, blanking panels, emergency opening and locking devices are available; consult manufacturer for details.

- Birdguard, BG001P:

  • Material: UV stabilized black polypropylene, fitted to rear cord beaded into frame section.
  • Standard diameter: 0.7 mm.
  • Aperture size (nominal): 18 x 15 mm.
  • Roll size (as supplied): 1000 or 2000 mm.

- Birdguard, BG002G/ BG-002S:

  • Material: BG002G: Galvanized light wire welded mesh; BG-002S: Stainless steel light wire welded mesh.
  • Standard diameter: 0.7 mm.
  • Aperture size (nominal): 18 x 15 mm.
  • Roll size (as supplied): 1000 or 2000 mm.

- Blanking panels, insulated:

Typical U-values achieved for care thermal conductivity (k) = 0.023 W/m²K:

  • 25-mm thick: 0.91 W/m²K.
  • 50-mm thick: 0.49 W/m²K.
  • 75-mm thick: 0.33 W/m²K.
  • 100-mm thick: 0.25 W/m²K.
  • 125-mm thick: 0.25 W/m²K.

- Insect mesh, IM-001P:

  • Material: Woven polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coated fibreglass.
  • Standard diameter: 0.22 mm.
  • Aperture size (nominal): 1.18 x 1.18 mm.
  • Open area: 72%.
  • Mesh width: 1200 or 1800 mm.

- Insect mesh, IM-002S:

  • Material: 1.4401 (316) grade stainless steel.
  • Standard diameter: 0.228 mm.
  • Aperture size (nominal): 1.36 x 1.36 mm.
  • Open area: 73%.
  • Mesh width: 1200 mm.

- Security mesh, SM-001G:

  • Material: Heavy-gauge steel wire, galvanized (can also be PVC-coated; consult manufacturer for details).
