A ready-mixed, textured, silicone-based finish, manufactured from fine natural and coloured aggregates. The product offers excellent weather-, scratch- and knock-resistant qualities (low maintenance). It contains carefully selected and blended raw materials, providing a consistently durable and high-quality product, whilst still allowing the structure to breathe. A biocide included in the product helps preserve its appearance.

ProRend Colourtex Grained:

The product can be finished in vertical, horizontal or circular random-grained textures to a 3 mm thickness.

ProRend Colourtex Uniform:

The product offers a uniform, flat texture finish to a thickness of 1.5 mm.

ProRend Colourtex Primer:

A solvent-free, quartz-containing acrylate dispersion pigmented primer with stabilizing capacity. The primer can be applied both internally and externally, and is an essential base component in the composition of durable ProRend synthetic bound resin render systems. It provides excellent adhesion, permanently elastic and vapour permeable, plus impervious to torrential rain.

Reflective values:

Where intense or dark colours are used, the surface will be subject to increased thermal stress from (for example) solar radiation. Significant fluctuations in temperature, as experienced in temperate weather climates, will cause premature degradation in the finished surface. The dissipation of this heat will vary, dependent upon the background, and accordingly 'reflective values' should be adhered to as follows:

  • ProWall or other ventilated cement board systems and masonry cavity walls: >5% clarity.
  • ProRend EIFS insulation systems and masonry solid walls: >20% clarity.

  • Can be applied to primed, new or old substrates. Externally, ProRend Colourtex may be applied to suitably smooth and flat surfaces of cement-based rendering, fair-faced concrete, exterior grade composition and cement boards; however, ProRend Float or Lite is the recommended substrate.
  • For medium-density blockwork with normal suction apply onto a backing of ProRend Float.
  • For aerated concrete and low-density blocks, apply onto a backing of ProRend Prep and ProRend Float.
  • For high-density masonry and concrete, apply onto a backing of ProRend Prep and ProRend Float.
  • For ProWall and ProRend EIFS, apply onto a backing of ProRend Lite.
  • Additional surfaces (for internal application only) include smooth and flat plasters, gypsum finishing plasters, dry lining and suitable insulating boards.
  • All substrates should be primed with ProRend Colourtex Primer. Always apply ProRend Colourtex Primer in the colour of the desired finish.
