Door seal with a polypropylene brush pile, offering fire and smoke protection, with the added benefit of thermal containment. Available in a choice of sizes to cover 30 and 60 minute applications, the SS seal also includes integral antimicrobial protection. It includes very low frictional resistance for ease of door operation (Document M compliant) and meets smoke requirement BS 9999.

Applications:

For single and double leaf doors to protect against fire and smoke. Can be used with any architectural seals. Suitable for wheeled traffic.

Standard product features

Seal material:

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) encased sodium silicate and polypropylene brush pile.

Height:

  • Brush pile: 4 mm.
  • Total: 8 mm.

Suitable gap width:

3–4 mm.

Fixing:

Heavy duty self-adhesive tape.

Performance:

  • Acoustic: Tested to BS EN ISO 10140-2.
  • Smoke: Tested to BS 476-31.1.
  • Fire resistance: Tested to BS EN 1634-1 and BS 476-22.
  • Durability: 100 000 cycles.
