Newton 106 FlexProof is a highly advanced single component liquid waterproofing material for the waterproofing of joints, which forms an elastomeric polymer membrane that is rainproof in minutes and capable of handling severe building movements and deformations.

Provides a good bond to most building materials and with very high levels of flexibility, and is capable of resisting both negative side and positive side water-pressure at construction joints, even where movement is expected. The product has the ability to remain watertight against positive pressure, even when resisting 20% expansion and compression and 10% shear, and so is especially useful where waterproofing is required within movement joints and at the interfaces of differing materials.

Surface preparation is required, as is protection after application - consult manufacturer for details.

Features and benefits:

  • Single component and ready to use, and therefore no mixing is required.
  • No primer required - saving on primer and labour costs.
  • Single coat application.
  • 100% waterproof, but allows vapour diffusion.
  • Very flexible - Resistant to movement and fissures in substrates.
  • Resistant to both positive and negative side water pressure.
  • Weather-tight skin forms within a few minutes of application.
  • Excellent adhesion to suitable substrates.
  • Resistant to temperature variations maintaining its characteristics between -40 and +90°C.
  • Excellent resistance to the high alkalinity of concrete.
  • Where the product is exposed to UV and weathering, the life expectancy should be at least 10 years.

  • Waterproofing of construction and movement joints.
  • Flexible sealing mastic.
  • Waterproofing of joints between substrates, subject to differential movement.
  • Can be used as detailing to the Newton HydroBond System.

Suitable substrates include:

  • Concrete of at least 20 kN.
  • Concrete block walls with flush pointing.
  • Screed.
  • Metal.
  • Plastics.
  • Timber.
  • Glass.

Can be applied using a metal trowel, metal putty knife, brush for detailing, pouring directly from the bag (NV only) or cartridge gun (X1 only) - consult manufacturer for further details.
