Manufactured to BS EN 771-3, their textured faces provide an excellent surface for mortars, renders and plasters. They also provide a strong base for holding fixings.
Ash GP blocks contain a proportion of recycled materials, and their sustainability performance has been verified through an Environmental Performance Declaration (EPD).

Fibo 850/950 Super Lightweight Range
Lignacite Ltd
Fibo 850/950 super lightweight concrete blocks are suitable for general-purpose walling applications. They provide a good base for plasters, renders and fixings, and the 100mm option combines easy handling with great thermal efficiency values.
Manufactured to BS EN 771-3, they consist of expanded clay aggregates and a mixture of other naturally occurring raw materials and cement. The clay aggregate is produced from carefully selected clays, which are bloated through heat expansion to create a low density, porous aggregate with numerous cavities. This makes Fibo 850/950 incredibly light and thermally efficient.

The blocks’ unique mix design (consisting of cement, fine aggregates and recycled graded-wood particles) accounts for their outstanding technical performance.
The 140mm width version (known as Lignacite SP) has a specially formulated mix that optimises the block density to produce a solid block with a unit weight of less than 20kg. There is a slight colour difference between Lignacite SP and 100mm Lignacite blocks.

Lignacrete Dense Concrete Block Range

Lignacrete dense concrete blocks are robust and durable with a technical performance that will fulfil most applications. They are manufactured to BS EN 771-3 and are available in standard and paint grade (close textured for direct painting). High strength blocks up to 30N/mm² are available for demanding, loadbearing designs.
Generally, blocks have a face size of 440mm x 215mm. However, Lignacrete 140mm Midi blocks have a face size of 290mm x 215mm and have been developed for easier handling while retaining the performance of conventional-size solid blocks.

190mm Lignalite blocks are produced using ultra-lightweight aggregates, resulting in a product that conforms to 20kg manual handling guidelines. Ideal for all types of commercial project, their close-textured surface is perfect for direct decoration.

This guide sets out to assist the construction team and associated trades with good site practice and workmanship when laying concrete blocks.
The standard of site practice and workmanship during the course of construction will have the greatest influence on the quality of the finished work. Concrete blocks from Lignacite Ltd and other related materials, such as bricks and insulation wall ties, must be specified in accordance with all appropriate codes and best practice.
A good standard of workmanship and site practice will result in durable masonry construction which will require little or no maintenance throughout its service life.
